a Way of Life

I have been a photojournalist my whole life. Even at a young age, I would mentally take a picture of something that stood out, visualize it, interpret it, often make up a story about it and keep it tucked away as a memory. 

It was an unconscious habit that has followed me my whole life. Always wanting to share the descriptions, the beauty, the honesty, and the vivid truth about what I see.

I look for the visually inspiring to tell stories, whether it be in a storm brewing, a person searching for their own truth or a vast landscape, want to portray for the viewer what I see without manipulation.

Dorothea Lange once said “The camera is an instrument that teaches people how to see without a camera”. I hope what I share will help accomplish this simple mission.
